How we get started

Before your child begins any sessions, we’ll meet with you both to talk about what they find easy, what they’re finding hard, and what you’d like them to get help with. This helps us understand their needs and goals.
​
As part of this, your child will do a short 30-minute reading test. It shows us their reading level, how well they understand what they read, how strong their vocabulary is, and how easily they can recognise words.
These results help us choose the best course for your child. They also show if we might need to look a little deeper to see if other learning support would be helpful.

Reading Support:

Level One
​
This programme is for kids and teens who find reading, writing, or spelling hard including those who do not speak English as their first language. It helps build confidence and quickly improves reading, speaking, and spelling skills.
​
We adjust the lessons to suit each child, so they can learn at their own speed. It’s great for older learners who missed the basics, younger ones just starting out, or students who need extra support with English. Lessons can be done in small groups or one-on-one.

Level Two
​​
This programme helps children and teens quickly improve their reading, spelling, vocabulary, and understanding of what they read.
​
It’s great for learners of any age who want to grow their skills and make real progress. Many students improve their reading by 15 to 30 months after finishing the programme. The sessions are face-to-face and run over 8 weeks.

Assessment and exam support

The wait for a full educational report can be a long one, as well as time consuming and expensive.
For a fraction of the cost, we can academically screen your student and, where applicable, recommend special assessment conditions for them that can be passed onto your school.​

Senior Study Hour

Our Senior Study Hour eliminates the stress of managing your child's homework. With a maximum of 6 students per session, students bring their homework and receive guidance and support to complete both this, and their assessments.

Junior Homework Club
​​
Our Junior Homework clubs make life after school easier! We take a maximum of 5 students and help them to complete their homework and provide advice and assistance. Students bring their homework with them and they can even bring their reading books and read out loud to us to ensure they are getting dedicated reading time.
